Jiayu Zheng

Hi! My name is Jiayu Zheng (郑家裕). I am a master’s student in Spatial Planning at TU Dortmund University, Germany. During my master’s study, I spent a semester at ETH Zurich as an exchange student in Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems. I hold a bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from Guangdong University of Technology in China.

My research aims at contributing spatial transformations to just, sustainable, and climate-resilient developments.

My current research interests are 

1) impacts of climate and land use changes on ecosystem services, 

2) land use decision modeling for understanding complex social-ecological systems, and 

3) pathways to co-develop and implement strategies, e.g., nature-based solutions, for promoting just, sustainable, and climate-resilient development.

As inter- and multi-disciplinarity are important in these research fields, I am happy to combine quantitative and qualitative methods and collaborate with stakeholders and actors from different sectors to narrow the gap between knowledge and action.
